GREG SKOLASKI
AREA REPRESENTATIVE, GREATER ROCHESTER
Greg grew up in a Christian home on the south side of Chicago. He spent his younger school years playing basketball, softball, cross-country and soccer, while always enjoying Skateboarding as a hobby. After high school, Greg joined the United States Navy and served in communications and media production for four years. While deployed, he played for the USS Santa Barbara Goodwill Soccer Team in countries around Europe.
After 30 years away from Action Sports, Greg returned to skateboarding during Covid in 2020. His desire and passion for sharing the Gospel through skateboarding and other Action Sports returned as well and he cofounded ReANIMATE, a Western NY skateboarding ministry.
It was during this time that he was introduced to FCA through doing contract media work for FCA Upstate and Rochester FCA. “Dave Parks was really the first to challenge me to consider joining FCA to promote Action Sports ministry in the region,” he says.
Greg is now busy building discipleship programs within Rochester regional Action Sports communities including skate, snowboarding, mountain biking and BMX. His other interests include worship leading, songwriting, juggling, writing books and woodworking. He loves playing piano, listening to his sons play their instruments and spending time with family, “including strategically planning how to get his grandkids on a skateboard!”
